About the Applied Research and Design Center

The Applied Research & Design Center was created to provide access to the faculty and facilities of the School of Engineering to enable technology transfer to industry, businesses, and organizations of northwestern Pennsylvania. The Center has as its goal to improve the productivity and competitive position of its constituents and to enable economic development within the region. This Center engages the technical resources of Penn State Erie the Behrend College’s School of Engineering and its undergraduate students. The Center is located within Penn State Behrend’s Burke Center.

Mission

The mission of the Applied Research & Design Center at Penn State Behrend is to provide engineering and technical support to business, industries, and organizations of northwest Pennsylvania. The Center is dedicated to the advancement of engineering and technology and engages in applied research and development projects involving product and process development.

Capabilities

The Applied Research & Design Center is located within the School of Engineering and has access to the faculty and laboratory facilities located within the School.
