Salim Named the ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR Athlete of the Week

State Behrend senior Ahmad Salim (Cranberry/Seneca Valley) has been
named the ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR athlete of the week for the week of
October 13, 2008.
Salim led the Behrend to a pair of conference wins.
Against Franciscan he booted the game-winner and added an insurance
tally in 3-0 contest. Versus Pitt-Greensburg he put the Behrend
Lions on the board to open the scoring in a 2-1 decision. That goal
was the 29th of his collegiate career and elevated him to the top of
the program's all-time goal scoring chart.
Salim broke the school scoring record previously set
by Chris Lightner. Salim scored on a break away just two
minutes into the first half against Pitt-Greensburg.
The blue and white will begin a two game road
trip as they travel to conference foes Pitt-Bradford and Frostburg
State on October 14th and 18th respectively. The Behrend Lions will
be back on the Behrend Fields on October 22nd when they on Hilbert
College at 3:00 p.m.
