Behrend Goalkeeper Earns AMCC Weekly Honors

goalie Dustin Walker (Apollo/Kiski Area) has been named the
Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference goalkeeper of the week for
the week of October 27, 2008.
Behind the solid play of Walker the Behrend Lions have secured two league wins in the last week. The two wins came both by shutouts. The blue and white handled Hilbert 3-0 and slid by Penn State Altoona 1-0 in overtime.
On the year Walker has accumulated eight shutouts with a goals against average of 1.16. This puts him fourth in the conference. His eighth shutout puts him in the number two spot in the conference statistical standings.
Walker will look to harness the high powered Medaille
Mavericks when they come to the Behrend Fields on Tuesday, October
28. The Mavericks are undefeated in conference play and come
into the game scoring on average four goals a game. However,
Medaille's last in-conference lost came at the hands of the Behrend
Lions when they took a 2-1 decision in the AMCC Championship a year
ago.
