Five Women's Water Polo Players Earn ACWPC
Academic Honors
The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches is proud to
announce the organization's 2007 Women’s All Academic Water Polo
Team.
“This was not only a great season for the athletes in the water, but
they also performed great in the classroom. This is obviously a good
statement about our sport: Water polo players are committed to both
academic and athletic excellence”, said Mike Lewis, the
association’s Executive Director.
Five Behrend Lions student-athletes were named to three different
categories (Outstanding (4.0-3.71), Superior (3.7-3.41) and
Excellent (3.4-3.2) based upon academic performance. The
honorees from Behrend included: Sara Breese (West
Springfield/Northwestern), Katherine Knight (Knox/Keystone), Morgan
Pasi (Kersey/St. Marys), and Danielle Wilson (Pittsburgh/Plum) were
named to the Outstanding team, while Jenna Zeyfang (Erie/Erie First
Academy) was named to the Excellent category.
