Behrend's Jon Bacon Named to ACWPC All-American Team
The Men's Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC)
released the 2008 All-American teams. For the fourth time in
Behrend school history a member of Coach Joe Tristan men's water polo team was named as an All-American.
Sophomore Jon Bacon (Glendale, CA/Crespi Carmelite) was named to the
Division III All-American team at the two meter position.
Bacon was placed on the team as an honorable mention selection for
the blue and white.
Bacon was named to the Division III Eastern Championships second team after a 12 goal performance in the tournament. On the year Bacon would take 83 shots and scored 32 times while dishing out nine assists. Bacon would have 26 drawn kickouts and one drawn penalty in the 2008 season.
In his career, Bacon has played in 46 games for the
blue and white. He has scored 46 times on 146 shots from the
two meter position. Adding to his numbers Bacon has 24 steals
and 16 assists.
