Penn State On-line: World Campus
The World Campus is Penn State's response to the growing interest in virtual universities that use technology to provide anytime/anywhere learning. Penn State's World Campus is distinctive in several ways:
- It is a University-wide campus, offering signature programs from many disciplines and professional areas.
- Most World Campus programs are specialized "signature" programs that include some of Penn State's most widely regarded academic disciplines. These programs are not readily available in most communities. The World Campus brings together working students from many parts of the nation and world into a single learning community.
- World Campus programs can include undergraduate degrees, professional master's degrees, certificate programs, and continuing professional education opportunities in areas as diverse as business, education, agriculture, engineering, health areas, sciences, and the arts.
- The World Campus learning community allows you to network with other professional colleagues while you learn.
- The World Campus is supported in part through a gift from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
