- Bogus email messages have been circulating that request personal information about your email account. Due to these phishing scams, students, faculty, and staff are reminded that Penn State will never ask you for your Access Account userid, password, or other confidential information via email. However, when the date draws near to change your Access Account password, ITS will send you a reminder via email. This message directs you to the www.work.psu.edu web site. This email is legitimate and you do need to take the appropriate action to change your password. - posted 11/03/09

- Effective Monday, 9/14, the Reed Building kiosk location will move from the downstairs mail room area to the upstairs Wintergarden balcony. - posted 09/10/09
- The reserved lab schedules are now available from the Computer Center's web site. To view the schedules, click on "About the Center" from the left navigation pane and then click on "Lab Schedules". - posted 08/31/09
- A great resource for faculty, staff, and students are the video tutorials from Lynda.com Inc. PSU has a University-wide site license for these tutorials which may be accessed via http://its.psu.edu/training/lynda/ . They are available at no cost to PSU faculty, staff and students. The tutorials include a wide variety of topics and can be
accessed 24/7. The tutorials generally range from three to 15 minutes in length making it quick and easy to learn a new topic. - posted 08/20/09
- Effective June 8th, the Hammermill 143 lab will close for renovations. It will join the Witkowksi 110 lab which is currently under renovation. Both labs will re-open in time for the start of the fall 2009 semester. - posted 06/02/09
- The summer 2009 freshman orientation program (FTCAP) has been relocated to the REDC building due to renovations in the Reed building. As a result, from June 15th until July 15th, the REDC 175 and REDC 176 public computer labs will be closed in support of this yearly initiative. The REDC 153 lab will remain available for student use during this time. - posted 06/02/09
- The Digital Commons is a University-wide initiative to help students create digital content for their coursework. The Digital Commons Studio is located in Room L 23 on the ground floor of the Lilley Library. Reservations for use of the studio and its editing rooms may be made at the Library's cirulation desk or by calling 898-6061. For more details, visit the links above. - posted 04/17/09
- The Hammermill 143 lab has returned to being an instructional facility and is heavily reserved for the spring semester. The Hammermill 139 lab has also re-opened with limited weekly reservations. Please check the posted lab reservation schedule outside of either of these lab's doors prior to entering. - posted 01/16/09
