Dr. Dean Baldwin, professor of English
and assistant director of the School of Humanities and Social
Sciences, has been elected second vice president of the College
English Association. His term begins in April 2002.
Dr. Peter B. Southard, assistant
professor of management, has had his article, "E-healthcare
Strategies and Implementation" published in the International
Journal of Healthcare Technology and Management, Vol. 4, No. 1 and
2, 2002.
Gordon H. Walk, janitorial foreman and recycling coordinator, had a cost-saving tip published in the February 2002 issue of Cleaning and Maintenance Management. He wrote about Penn State Behrend's change from nightly cleaning to weekly servicing of offices, a change that has resulted in savings of over $500,000 in the past decade.
