Commuter Life

Commuter Life

Commuters at Penn State Behrend come from Erie and the surrounding areas to be part of the Behrend family. They make up a large portion of our student population. Students living off-campus have many opportunities to get involved and engage in campus life. Commuter students may find the Commuter FAQ page and other resources helpful.

Student Involvement

The Office of Student Activities and the Student Government Association provide students with a variety of involvement options. With more than 110 student organizations, there is something for everyone.

Getting to Campus

Students who drive to campus have designated lots in which to park. Parking permits for these lots can be obtained from Police Services. The Erie Metropolitan Transportation Authority (the "e") operates buses city-wide that are free for Behrend students (with ID). The "e" operates a shuttle around campus during the week to help students get across campus more easily. The campus shuttle also makes stops at the apartment complexes at University Gate and Hudson Lofts.
