Health and Wellness Center Services

Charges for visits, medications, supplies, and laboratory tests are billed to the students' accounts.Detailed receipts with the appropriate ICD9 and CPT codes are provided for students to submit to their insurance carrier. It is recommended that all students have medical insurance. Penn State student insurance applications are available at the Health and Wellness Center.

Medications and Supplies
Medications prescribed during a visit are available at minimal cost. Most medical supplies such as ace supports, ice packs, dressings, and crutches are available upon examination.

Verification Policy
A verification form is available after an evaluation that confirms the health-care provider's recommendations for care made to the patient.

Transportation to Off-Campus Health Care
The Erie Cab Company will provide transportation to and from off-campus health-care facilities for non-emergency problems and appointments.Vouchers, required for this service, are provided at the Health and Wellness Center, and after hours by Police and Safety and the Residence Life coordinators. The charge is billed to the student's account.
