Behrend golf team wins La Roche Fall Invitational

The men’s golf team at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, won the La Roche Fall Invitational at Wildwood Golf Club. Three players placed in the top 10.

The Behrend Lions won both the men’s and women’s fields at the Behrend Invitational cross-country race. Savanna Carr, a freshman from Franklin, won the women’s race, finishing in 19:35.0. The college’s soccer, golf, volleyball and tennis teams also were in action last week. Here are the highlights.

The track and field teams at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, won the 2017 Colonial States Athletic Conference men’s and women’s titles. The college swept the awards for male and female track and field athletes of the year. The college’s softball team won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference title after the championship tournament was canceled due to rain.
