For an overview of the process after you accept your offer to Penn State visit Admissions Accepted Students.
All new first-year students to Penn State must participate in New Student Orientation (NSO). At NSO, you will meet with faculty and staff, begin to develop goals for your time at Penn State, learn about campus resources, and schedule courses for your first semester.
You will use your Penn State Access Account (e.g., abc5123) to access each of the steps listed below.
Once you activate your Access Account, NSO is a four-step process:
- Step 1: Take your ALEKS Math Assessment.
- Step 2: Make your reservation to attend.
- Step 3: Do your Pre-NSO Homework.
- Step 4: Attend New Student Orientation. *International Students attend International Student Orientation (ISO)
** After you have completed the ALEKS Math Assessment, students will receive an email from Student Orientation & Transition Programs (email@example.com) inviting students to make a reservation (Spring NSO available in November. Fall NSO available in April.) for a New Student Orientation date. **
