April 8: Alumni & Friends Exclusive Eclipse Extravaganza

Get ready for a celestial spectacle!

Penn State Behrend and Erie, PA, are in the "path of totality" for the Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we are planning a campus-wide celebration.

We will kick off our Alumni and Friends Exclusive Eclipse Extravaganza with reserved seating for you at the community celebration lecture by Dr. Darren Williams, professor of astrophysics, at Erie Hall at noon. Our alumni and friends exclusive lunch and viewing party—featuring Dr. Roger Knacke, professor emeritus of physics and astronomy, will follow.

Space is limited, so RSVP early to guarantee seats at the lecture and lunch, and eclipse viewing glasses.
