In the Black School of Business, students have the chance to network with industry professionals at Corporate Days.

On each Corporate Day, one organization (a business, nonprofit, or civic group) visits the school to meet with and speak to students and faculty members.

The organization typically interacts with students at lunchtime in the Clark Café. Other opportunities for specific group activities such as speaking to classes are usually part of the day as well.

Organizations visiting the school this academic year included Bechtel Plant Machinery Inc., BKD (accounting and finance firm), BNY Mellon, Erie Insurance, Enterprise Holdings, HBK (wealth advisors), RiskAlyze, Sprint, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Wegmans. Virtual visitors included John G. Ullman & Associates Inc. and Nestle USA.

Corporate Days can—and do—lead to internships for students, collaborative industry research projects for faculty members, and even jobs for soon-to-be graduates. Above all, they allow students to expand their professional connections.
