As part of Penn State’s Campus Arts Initiative project, Cleveland-based sculptor Lauren Herzak-Bauman has been using Penn State Behrend's plastics processing lab to create, mold and fabricate the materials needed for “Color Walk,” the site-specific art project to be installed on the college in November.
For her arts administration senior capstone project, Penn State Behrend student Olivia Coghe recently planned Artsapalooza, a one-day arts festival and craft show held at the college. The event, which was held April 26, featured more than 15 artist and artisan vendors, live musical performances and craft activities.
“The Many Threads of Quilting,” a quilt exhibition that opened April 28 at the Erie Art Gallery, served as the senior capstone project for Victoria Alcorn, who graduated this month from Penn State Behrend with a degree in arts administration. For the project, Alcorn curated the exhibition with the work of regional quilters.
