Behrend basketball team wins two conference matchups

The Penn State Behrend men’s basketball team defeated Medaille and Penn State Altoona in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchups. The team carries a 13-5 conference record into its final home game of the regular season. Behrend’s volleyball, tennis, bowling, wrestling, and track and field teams also were in action last week. Behrend wrestlers end Erie Hall era with a win

Penn State Behrend’s wrestling team avenged a one-point loss to Pitt-Bradford, winning the rematch 32-23. The Feb. 5 dual meet was the final varsity event in Behrend’s Erie Hall, which will be replaced by a larger fitness and recreation center later this year.

Behrend swimmers complete first undefeated season

The Penn State Behrend men’s swimming and diving team completed its first undefeated dual-meet season with a 164-98 win over St. Vincent. The team will compete in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championships on Feb. 19.

Behrend track and field teams compete in Edinboro Invitational

The Penn State Behrend men’s track and field team won five events at the Edinboro Invitational. Phoenix Myers, a junior from Erie, won the mile run, finishing in 4:27.44. Jenna Shelton, a senior from Cabot, placed second in the 800-meter women’s race, finishing in 2:20.57. She qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field meet.

Behrend soccer team dominates Alfred State

The Penn State Behrend women’s soccer team scored 11 goals against Alfred State. Bella Sestito, a freshman from Jefferson Hills, and Cassidy Ulanowicz, a junior from Gibsonia, each recorded three goals. The college’s volleyball, tennis, swimming, bowling and water polo teams also were in action last week. Here are the highlights.

Behrend volleyball team wins 5-set match against La Roche

The Penn State Behrend women’s volleyball team won a five-set match against La Roche to remain undefeated in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play. The third set of the match included nine ties and three lead changes. The college’s soccer, cross-country, swimming and water polo teams also were in action last week. Here are the highlights.

A single goal by Medaille – on the team’s only shot of the game – snapped an 11-game winning streak for the Penn State Behrend men's soccer team. Chase Cordon, a freshman from Canyon Lake, California, scored with just 29 seconds left in the game to carry the Penn State Behrend men’s water polo team past Washington & Jefferson, 9-8. Behrend golfers place fourth at two-day Allegheny tournament

The Penn State Behrend men’s golf team placed fourth at the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College. Mark Peters, a senior from Mercer, led the team with a two-day score of 153. The college’s soccer, volleyball, tennis and water polo teams also were in action last week. Here are the highlights.
