"LORD Corporation was faced with a once-in-a-lifetime situation that involved moving and merging more than 800 employees from two facilities down to a brand new one. We were conscious of the fact that for the move to be successful all our employees needed to understand the effects of change. In an effort to educate our staff, we contacted Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, and collaborated with them to determine what programs would best fit our needs. Together we agreed on two programs for all our employees: “Team Building” and “Thriving Through Change.” In addition, Penn State Behrend suggested a “Managing Change” program for our managers and supervisors.

The Penn State Behrend Corporate Training Staff was professional, courteous and we enjoyed working with them. The courses were successfully launched and conducted at LORD on days and times that were convenient for our employees and their work schedules. Feedback from class attendees was extremely positive and the instructors were described as awesome, friendly and knowledgeable. We will continue to partner with Penn State Behrend on our training needs now and into the future."

"Saint Vincent Hospital is grateful for the grant-funded Medical Spanish program offered by Penn State Behrend's Community and Workforce Programs for our nurses and caregivers. Behrend's Spanish faculty, Dr. Traverso and Dr. Urraro, successfully obtained a grant from Behrend's School of Humanities and Social Science to fund this project. Fifteen nurses and caregivers participated in the training, receiving Continuing Education units and certificates of completion. This valuable training greatly enhances Saint Vincent's caregivers' ability to deliver excellent care to our Spanish speaking patients. We appreciate the long-standing relationship we have with Penn State Behrend and the opportunity to work together for the benefit of our community."

"We are thrilled to offer the RN to B.S. program for nurses at the Warren Higher Education Council in Warren in partnership with Penn State Behrend's Nursing Program and Community and Workforce Programs. Our partnership with Behrend has allowed us to expand programming in Warren for registered nurses seeking to obtain the bachelor's degree. This course of study will allow busy professionals to meet the growing demands of the nursing profession without trying to accommodate the additional burden of travel in already busy schedules. This is a natural outgrowth of the ongoing relationship between Behrend and the Warren Hi-Ed Council ."
