Veteran student in Reed Union Building

You made the commitment to protect and defend our nation, its principles and its people. Now let us help you get a high quality college education with financial benefits reserved only for veterans.

Penn State Behrend was named a "Military Friendly School" by GI Jobs magazine for providing a supportive academic environment for America’s service members, veterans and military spouses—a distinction received by only 15 percent of Veterans Affairs-approved institutions.

We offer thirty-seven bachelor's and four associate degrees, along with a wide range of minors and certificates. And we provide a wide range of services to help you make the transition to being a student again, like our Learning Resource Center, and Academic and Career Planning Center.

Many veterans of the Armed Services are eligible for financial assistance through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. In addition, the Post 9/11 GI Bill® makes educational benefits available to more veterans than ever before.
