Penn State Behrend student perfects ‘Pitch’ during advertising competition

The Pitch is a two-part competition where participants from different universities work with an advertising agency to deliver a real-world proposal to a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit organization. Penn State Behrend student Jacqueline DuMont won the competition last semester and will now receive public recognition at the Pittsburgh ADDY Awards in March, and her résumé will be distributed to the Pittsburgh Advertising Federation’s Board of Directors.

$1.2 million gift provides Penn State Behrend students with access to Moldex3D

Students at Penn State Behrend now have access to Moldex3D, an industry-leading plastics flow simulation program, thanks to a new software gift valued at $1.2 million. The software was donated to the college by Moldex3D, in part because of the reputation of Penn State Behrend’s plastics engineering technology program, one of only six accredited programs in the United States.
