Biography
Born in Richmond, VA, BS Biology at UNC Chapel Hill, Ph.D. at UT Houston Health Science Center, Houston, TX. Postdoc#1 at Duke University - Department of Immunology. Post doc#2 Harvard Medical School Massachusetts General Hospital. Associate Professor University of Pittsburgh.
Research Interests
I study how hormones such as testosterone produce signals that are required for the production of sperm in men. I also am interested in the function of PPP1R proteins that regulate the activity of the PPPc phosphatase that is required for smooth muscle contraction, mitosis/cell division, cellular metabolism, RNA transcription and protein synthesis.
