Diversity and Belonging

Supporting the Culture of ‘We’

At Penn State Behrend, we believe that a diverse campus environment is the best way to challenge our students to consider new cultures, perspectives, and traditions. Our strength comes from embracing diverse abilities, ages, ethnicities, faiths, races, life experiences, gender identities, and sexual orientations.

We seek to create and support a diverse student body through access and exposure to the many resources and opportunities at Penn State Behrend.

Resources for Students

Whether it's helping students find scholarships, providing mentoring, or offering programs and services to ensure student success, the Office of Educational Equity and Diversity Programs supports and serves as an advocate for diverse populations within the college community, including:

Commitment to Diversity

At Penn State Behrend, we are committed to creating an inclusive campus where everyone feels welcome and valued. By bringing together people with different backgrounds and perspectives, we foster a learning environment that encourages open exchange, critical thinking, and a richer educational experience for all.
