The Penn State Behrend Alumni Society offers a variety of rewarding activities and opportunities to make a positive difference at the college while networking with fellow alumni. By building a tradition of pride and involvement, the Penn State Behrend Alumni Society upholds the nationally recognized standard of Penn State achievement and excellence.
The Behrend Alumni Society is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive membership where all identities, experiences, and backgrounds come together to create a strong and welcoming alumni community representative of the Penn State Behrend alumni it proudly serves.
Since its organization in 1987, the Society has developed various programs and activities for alumni to continue their relationship with the college. To directly influence these programs, consider joining or volunteering with our Board of Directors. Activities include:
- Planning reunion events and other social and networking activities, like the annual Wine Tour, Pirates Game, and more
- Supporting the endowed Alumni Scholarship to provide Behrend students with financial aid
- Serving as a resource for faculty, admissions, and fund-raising
- Mentoring current students
How Do I Join?
If you've attended at least two terms or one semester as a full-time student in a degree-granting program at Penn State Behrend, you qualify for membership in both the Penn State Behrend Alumni Society and the Penn State Alumni Association. All Penn State Behrend alumni who belong to the Penn State Alumni Association are automatically enrolled in the Penn State Behrend Alumni Society. There are no additional dues, fees, or applications involved.
All graduates of Penn State Behrend receive a complimentary membership in both the Penn State Alumni Association and the Penn State Behrend Alumni Society for a full year upon graduation. In addition, membership is available at a discounted rate for the next five years after graduation.
