Penn State Behrend has become one of the best colleges in the nation with the generous help of its many donors and friends who give money, time, expertise, and equipment. Philanthropy started at Behrend on June 28, 1948, when Mary Behrend donated her Glenhill Farm estate to Penn State University. Today the college’s philanthropists include alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and other organizations. We value every one of their gifts—from cash donations that young alumni contribute to larger gifts that create endowments by more established alumni and friends.
