The purpose of this award is to encourage and reward supportive activity of the Open Lab model. The Open Lab is Behrend’s university-industry strategy for collaboration with external partners. This award recognizes activities that develops, enhances, supports or encourages university-industry interaction. This award was first launched in June of 2020.
Eligibility: Any faculty or staff currently employed by the University is eligible to be nominated. Previous recipients are ineligible for a period of six months.
Nomination Procedure: Any member of student body, faculty, staff, administration, student organization, or external organization/partner may enter a nomination. Nominators will remain anonymous.
Selection Procedure: The selection of up to four recipients per month will be made by the College’s Leadership Team. Both the awardees and those who were nominated will receive a letter thanking them for their efforts.
