BCWP4 Full-Time Faculty Member Supplemental Compensation for Instruction

The college’s administrative procedure regarding full-time faculty supplemental compensation for instruction is as follows:

  • In general, full-time faculty members are ineligible to receive supplemental compensation for resident instruction of Community and Workforce Programs (CWP) instruction during the regular academic year. This includes credit courses and long-term noncredit (30 hours per semester) courses offered through CWP. With prior approval of the respective school director and the senior associate dean and COO, rare exceptions may be made.
  • Faculty members are eligible for supplemental compensation for both resident and credit CWP instruction during the summer.
  • Short-term commitments with CWP, such as seminars, short courses, and workshops, are encouraged as long as they do not interfere with other faculty member responsibilities, and faculty members may receive supplemental compensation for such activities as long as they are beyond the scope of their normal responsibilities.

Please note that all of these statements are subject to existing University policy regarding supplemental compensation, including maximum allowable and method and time of payment.
