Nearly 1,200 new first-year students moved into Penn State Behrend last week, making it one of the largest and most diverse classes in the college's history. Each student brought with them a different collection of items, many of which helped to tell a story about the student and his or her unique personality.
Becca Olanrewaju, left, and Emily Brocious, both of Erie, were more than familiar with Penn State Behrend. While in eighth grade, the two participated in Math Options Career Day, a STEM youth outreach program hosted by the college. The two brought along a Math Options t-shirt to commemorate the fact that they had now come full circle.
