Norman B. “Bill” Patterson taught mathematics at what was then called the Behrend Center. He always had a camera with him. His photos of life on campus in the 1950s are now on display in Kochel Center.
The Pennsylvania chapter of the American Institute of Architects has selected the Federal House project at Penn State Behrend for a 2023 Architectural Excellence Design Award.

Approximately 1,200 students attended Penn State Behrend’s Welcome Week concert, which featured the rapper Waka Flocka Flame and DJ Climax. The concert was free for Behrend students.
