Rod Troester started teaching at Penn State Behrend in 1986. He retired this year.

Rod Troester, associate professor emeritus of speech communication, has retired after a 35-year career at Penn State Behrend.

"I got full-on shivers up my spine as I read this," Emily Cassano, assistant teaching professor of music, theatre and visual arts, said of "Bright Star," the fall musical at Penn State Behrend.

Penn State Behrend's Studio Theatre will host a two-week production of "Bright Star," by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, beginning Nov. 4.

Brianna Keith earned a master's degree in professional accounting from Penn State Behrend in 2021.

Dr. Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, will visit Penn State Behrend on Nov. 11 as part of the college's Speaker Series.

The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team won the AMCC championships on Oct. 30. Five Behrend runners finished in the top 10.
