Students from Penn State Behrend visited the CN Tower in Toronto during a summer study-abroad course. They compared political cultures, government institutions and election systems during the four-week course, which was hosted at Ryerson University.
Parents, Families & Alumni Weekend will be held Sept. 21-23 at Penn State Behrend. A celebration of the college’s past, present and future, the weekend will offer a number of activities that are ideal for both alumni as well as current students and their families. The weekend coincides with the start of the college’s 70th anniversary.
Jared Yates Sexton will read excerpts from his books, including “The People Are Going to Rise Like the Waters Upon Your Shore,” on Thursday, Sept. 6, when he visits Penn State Behrend to open the college’s Creative Writers Reading Series. His 6 p.m. reading and the reception preceding it are free and open to the public.
