Bill, center, and Martha Hilbert, top right, recently affirmed their commitment to music education and the creative arts by making a $300,000 gift to the Young People’s Chorus of Erie, a youth outreach program of the School of Humanities at Penn State Behrend. The gift will allow YPC Erie to provide tuition assistance to more students and help cover the cost of other program needs, such as chorister uniforms, sheet music, instruments and other supplies.

As a first-year student during the 2014-15 academic year, Craig Miranda was profiled by Penn State Behrend as part of its “Far From Home” series, which documented a year in the life of international students at the college. This week, the Kuwait native will graduate from Penn State, and as he looks back on his time at the college, he sees one constant: growth.
