This week, we recognize three Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University.
Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? If you do, consider taking a minute to nominate that person by filling out a short online form.
This week, it's thank you to:
Patrice Lombard, records specialist at Penn State Hazleton, whose nominator wrote: "No matter how packed her day is, Patrice always has a helpful attitude and makes everyone — student, staff and faculty — feel welcomed with her kindness, knowledge and wit. Her dedication to every project and every student makes her an invaluable and irreplaceable asset to this campus!"
Ramisa Fariha, a student, whose nominator wrote: "Ramisa spent her first two years at Penn State Behrend. While at University Park, she has regularly served as a resource for current Behrend students intending to study biomedical engineering (BME). She never hesitates to connect, to share her experiences with campus transition or BME. She has been an amazing resource and will be missed after graduating in May."
Shelley Yurkovich, at Penn State Mont Alto, whose nominator wrote: "Working nights, Shelley seldom interacts with students. But, for one student in dire need of interview attire, she purchased ties, shirts, pants and socks — with no expectation of recognition. She always goes above and beyond to help, and has a heart for making a difference in the students’ lives!"
