Biography
Mr. Dean Lewis is an assistant teaching professor of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State Behrend. He received his B.S. in engineering mechanical focus from LeTourneau University in May 1992; his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1996; and is finishing his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Rensselaer. Mr. Lewis comes to Penn State Behrend with eleven years of teaching experience.
Mr. Lewis's engineering skills are in the following areas: finite element analysis, mechanics of solids, plasticity theory, concurrent engineering, design for assembly, design for manufacture, design of experiments, analytic dynamics, and quality control.
