Biography
Carey Barzeski empowers her students with financial literacy as a business teacher at McDowell High School in Erie, Pennsylvania. Her commitment to promoting financial education has garnered recognition from both her school district and Pennsylvania’s auditor general and earned her the Next Gen Personal Finance Distinguished Educator Award.
Prior to teaching business, Carey served as a mathematics teacher and middle school mathematics department chair, writing curriculum and providing guidance and support to fellow educators.
Before entering the education field, Carey gained valuable business experience as a human resources supervisor and retail assistant buyer. She majored in marketing at Penn State Behrend, earning minors in management and economics.
