Biography
Tara Mobley is the chief executive officer of Stein Sperling Bennett De Jong Driscoll PC, appointed in July 2025 as the firm’s first CEO. In this role, she leads strategic growth initiatives and manages all aspects of business operations, with responsibility for driving sustainable profitability, fostering organizational development, and promoting innovation.
Mobley brings extensive leadership experience in professional services, most recently as chief executive officer of Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, P.C., where she was promoted to CEO in 2022. During her tenure, she scaled the firm’s business operations and financial performance while overseeing key administrative and professional support functions, including finance, human resources, business development, information systems, facilities, and risk management. Earlier in her career, she served as vice president of operations at Crosstree Capital, a global health sciences M&A firm, and held leadership roles in banking, manufacturing, technology, and public accounting.
Throughout her career, Mobley has been recognized for building efficient, profitable systems and fostering strong organizational cultures. Her expertise spans finance, human resources, recruiting, employee relations, professional development, performance management, and data-driven decision-making.
A committed community leader, Mobley served as a governor-appointed member of the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board and has held multiple nonprofit leadership roles, including vice president of Erie DAWN; treasurer and prevention committee board member for the Bradley H. Foulk Children’s Advocacy Center; and board member of the Erie Downtown Partnership. She is also a frequent speaker and panelist, presenting at events such as Penn State Behrend’s Women in Business Panel and Junior Achievement’s EmpowerHer Summit.
Mobley holds an MBA with a concentration in operations and human resource management, a B.S. in business and organizational management, and has completed executive education in Strategic Management: Competitive and Corporate Strategy at the Wharton School.
She joined the Black School of Business Executive in Residence program in fall 2025.
