Penn State Behrend welcomed one of its largest and most diverse classes ever to campus on Thursday, August 18.

The Class of 2020 consists of 1,280 students, including a record 212 international students from 26 countries. Navigating an independent life for the first time is no easy task, but many students brought a token from home along with them to help ease the transition. Here's just a snapshot of some of the students' most-treasured items.
