Jim Gavio, director of the Yahn Planetarium at Penn State Behrend, talks about the night sky for August 2021, in Erie, PA. Jim discusses the Perseid meteor shower that peaks on August 12, and visible planets throughout the month.
The Yahn Planetarium, which operated as the Erie Planetarium since 1959, relocated to Penn State Behrend in 2014 and has become a staple of the college’s School of Science.
