Global Quality Manager at Parker LORD in Erie. Parker LORD is a leading supplier of adhesives in the transportation, consumer products, defense, general industry, and power industries. Geri-Lyn graduated from Behrend in 1987 with a Mathematics degree and in 2007 with a Master of Business Administration degree. She is a member of the college’s Council of Fellows. She received the 2018 STEP AHEAD award, a national recognition for Women Leaders.
About her job: I manage all aspects of quality within our division in the United States and overseas to ensure products are designed and produced to meet customer expectations.
Family: Husband, Drew, two daughters, Courtney and Caitlin, and two stepchildren, Andrew and Haleyna.
Why she joined the WEC board: I think it is critical that women leaders become role models for our future women leaders.
What she enjoys about her work: I am intrigued with understanding processes and then making them better through continuous improvement that benefits the company as well as our customers. I am passionate about using data and process improvement methodologies to improve quality, productivity, and profitability.
Share your goals: Set goals for yourself and let them be known to those that can help you achieve them.
Keep your cool: Early in my career, I learned that it is important to remain calm, no matter what. If not, people only pay attention to your emotions and do not hear what you say. Emotional Intelligence is key to success.
How she unwinds: Exercise (especially powerlifting), crochet, and watching Lifetime movies. In the fall, I love to watch Penn State football.
What you’d be surprised to know about her: I was on a full ROTC scholarship at Behrend. It taught me to be the leader I am today.

Most interesting place she has visited: I have been able to travel all over the world (Europe and Asia) for work, but I would say the most interesting place that I have been is India.
