Joshua Shaw, professor of philosophy and bioethics at Penn State Behrend, will read from his debut fiction collection, "All We Could Have Been and More," on Sept. 7 in the Metzgar Center.
The Health and Wellness Center at Penn State Behrend will host health fairs at Erie Hall and in the Reed Union Building parking lot on Sept. 8 and Sept. 11.
Penn State Behrend is the academic research and commercial partner for the Magee-Womens Research Institute in Erie, a $26 million initiative that will bring locally focused clinical medical research trials to the region.
Dr. Sara Curran, Director of the Center for Studies in Demography & Ecology, University of Washington, will discuss current and future research to catalyze next generation, scientific innovations during the upcoming De Jong Lecture Oct. 4.
“Women often give a lot to a lot of different people in their lives,” said Heather Cass, the publications manger at Behrend and the organizer of the Run for Women. “This is something they can do for themselves.”
