Penn State Behrend is planning for one or more in-person commencement ceremonies to honor the College’s Spring 2021 graduates. The ceremonies will be held on campus on Saturday, May 8.
Michael Campbell, distinguished professor of biology at Penn State Behrend, will oversee a four-year student research program at the Lake Erie Regional Grape Research and Extension Center.
Jeremiah Keyes, an assistant professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, studies the complex signaling networks that control a cell’s response to stimuli. He previously worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of California at San Diego.
Ashley Russell, an assistant professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, studies extracellular vesicles, which allow cells to communicate with one another. She also studies the effects of chronic stress during pregnancy.
The Penn State Alumni Association will recognize 16 outstanding Penn Staters during a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, April 13. Registration is open and free to all Penn Staters, and you can sign up online.
Inkyu Kang, an associate professor of digital journalism at Penn State Behrend, wrote a book about the rise of K-pop, which is shorthand for Korean popular music.
