Students and faculty members at Penn State Behrend's Black School of Business are contributing to a financial literacy curriculum that is being taught at nearly 400 high schools in eight states.
Penn State Behrend graduate Abraham Berhane lived in a refugee camp after fleeing his home in Eritrea. “When we came to Erie, we started our life from zero,” he said.
Linda and Clifton Merchant met at Penn State Berhend in the mid-1950s and were married for 58 years. "It was a really good marriage, and it all started at Behrend," Clifton Merchant said.
