If you visit Penn State Behrend's Smith Chapel in the spring, you will see hundreds of daffodils blooming. They are the gift of Rick and Noreen Griffith, who also came and planted the bulbs in the fall of 2001.

Faisal Aqlan, an assistant professor of industrial engineering, at left, joins Phil Jones, a lecturer in engineering, and Joy Armbruster, an administrative support assistant, in the materials lab at Penn State Behrend's Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Center. The team reconfigured the lab during a three-day event in late 2019.

Jay Amicangelo, a professor of chemistry at Penn State Behrend, adapted several new teaching techniques when Penn State moved to a remote-learning environment. He plans to continue using the new tools when face-to-face classes resume at the college.
