The Penn State Alumni Association will recognize 14 graduates on Oct. 3 with the lifelong title of Alumni Fellow, the highest award given by the Alumni Association.
Julie Fowlis will perform songs from both Disney's “Brave” and her most recent album, “Alterum,” when she visits Penn State Behrend on Tuesday, Oct. 2, as part of Music at Noon: The Logan Series.
This past year, Vertna Bradley, an assistant teaching professor of film studies at Penn State Behrend, created the SPLICE Film Fest, an international film and video art festival showcasing short films ranging in length of at least 1 minute to no more than 10 minutes. Held this past summer at the Erie Movie House, the inaugural SPLICE Film Fest received more than 400 entries from 55 different countries.
Students, faculty and staff at Penn State Behrend assembled on the college's soccer field to kick off the 70th anniversary of the college, which opened in 1948.
