Eco-Coin

Eco-Coin

Eco-Coins are used at Penn State campuses as an incentive for customers to refuse plastic bags. The Eco-coins are given to philanthropic organizations to be redeemed for cash to further their efforts in support of a cause. At Penn State Behrend, the Behrend Bookstore exclusively donates the Eco-Coins to the Alternative Spring Break trip, coordinated by Reality Check, a student service organization, and Civic and Community Engagement.
