Penn State Behrend honored 45 new graduates of the college's nursing program at a May 2 pinning ceremony. The pin is part of a tradition that dates back to the Crusades.
Haley Yenchik, a senior from Cecil, won the pole vault, long jump, triple jump and 100-meter dash events at the Colonial States Athletic Conference championships. She was named CSAC field athlete of the year.
Penn State Behrend graduate Olivia Dubin could not attend the college's May 3 commencement ceremony because she is completing an internship in Germany. Dubin, who earned a degree in plastics engineering technology, used one of the college's robots to participate in the program remotely.
