Annalie Fitzgibbon, a senior plastics engineering major at Penn State Behrend, received a U.S. Department of State Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. This spring, the Waterford, Pennsylvania, native will study at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
New rankings by PayScale Inc., a data company that tracks employee salaries, list Penn State Behrend as the second-best return on investment among western Pennsylvania colleges and universities.
Bill, center, and Martha Hilbert, top right, recently affirmed their commitment to music education and the creative arts by making a $300,000 gift to the Young People’s Chorus of Erie, a youth outreach program of the School of Humanities at Penn State Behrend. The gift will allow YPC Erie to provide tuition assistance to more students and help cover the cost of other program needs, such as chorister uniforms, sheet music, instruments and other supplies.
