A new partnership with the India-based Ghandi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) will create teaching and research opportunities at Penn State Behrend.

Club involvement is a great way for students to make friends, said Kris Motta Torok, director of Student Leadership and Involvement. "It's also an opportunity to put into practice the things they learn in the classroom in a setting where it is OK to make mistakes and learn from them," she said.
Penn State Behrend students found plenty of options for their free time at the college’s Discovery Fair, the annual club showcase on the lawn of the Reed Union Building.
Penn State Behrend's annual Discovery Fair is a showcase for the college's 140 student clubs and organizations. This year's program featured several new clubs, including Behrend First Gens and the Ceramics Club.

The Discovery Fair, an annual club showcase at Penn State Behrend, featured chessboards, shirt-launching robots, and the college’s custom-built “Supermileage” vehicle, which gets more than 2,420 mpg.
A draft proposal of Penn State’s institutional strategic plan has been unveiled and shared with the community for feedback and discussion. All faculty, staff and students at all campuses are encouraged to visit the Strategic Plan website to review and provide feedback on the draft plans for four goal areas.
