CARE Team
The Penn State Behrend CARE (Communicate, Advocate, Refer, and Educate) Team provides faculty and staff members of the Behrend community with a way to share a concern about a student's academic progress, wellness, or safety. The program's primary purpose is to intervene early to help and support students experiencing distress.
Educational Equity and Diversity
The Office of Educational Equity and Diversity Programs supports and serves as an advocate for diverse populations within the college community. In addition to addressing the specific concerns of historically underrepresented racial/ethnic minorities, it also supports students with disabilities, international students, LGBTQIA+ students, and women.
Stand For State
Penn State's bystander intervention initiative, Stand for State, partners with Green Dot, a national violence prevention program, to teach individuals how to intervene safely and effectively in difficult situations. The initiative addresses sexual misconduct, acts motivated by bias, mental health concerns, and high-risk substance use. Stand for State underscores Penn State's commitment to reducing harm in our communities.
