Brandon Smail, a senior from Apollo, struck out a season-high eight batters in eight innings of pitching against Maritime. Penn State Behrend won the game, 8-7, in 11 innings.
A walk-off base hit in the 11th inning lifted the baseball team at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, to a win over Maritime. The teams met during a week of spring break play in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Alayna Derzak, a sophomore from Seven Fields, scored a run and an RBI and also hit a triple and a double against Monmouth. Jillian Williams, a sophomore from Corry, allowed just three hits and one unearned run in seven innings of pitching against Ursinus.

Yanique Apgar, a senior from Pittsburgh, and Scott Russell, a sophomore from Pittsburgh, were undefeated in both singles and doubles play during the spring break matches.

Carson Hagood, a freshman from Orlando, Fla., scored three goals against Caltech. Devon Van Rensburg, a freshman from Johannesburg, South Africa, added two goals, four steals and an assist.
