At Penn State Behrend, students have a variety of opportunities to join organizations related to studies in the Black School of Business. These clubs provide an opportunity to associate with other students who share common career interests and organize programs relating to the business field.

Club meetings allow members to discuss career-related topics with guests from the business community and faculty. Active participation in club activities can help develop valuable organizational and leadership skills.

Accounting (ACCTG) Club

The Accounting Club's mission is to grow and develop accounting students and create a strong foundation for a professional career path. This will occur through networking and mentoring opportunities with alumni, faculty, and fellow students; on- and off-campus events, including a speaker series and panel discussions; and social events.

American Marketing Association (AMA)

The Penn State Behrend American Marketing Association Chapter provides a welcoming community for students to discover, share, and grow their passion for the field of marketing. As a community, this AMA chapter holds value in educating one another by promoting the unique and vibrant career pathways marketing offers. AMA at Behrend allows students to learn and become aware of valuable internship and full-time career positions while also creating an environment where students can thrive from networking events and speaker series. AMA is open to students of all majors!

Business Analytics Team (BAT)

The goal of BAT is to prepare students to be in a business career by engaging in discussions of current economic events, gaining knowledge from Wall Street professionals, and receiving tips on how to be attractive to employers in a business setting.

Delta Sigma Pi (DSP)

Delta Sigma Pi is a co-ed professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities. We enrich our members through various social activities. From meeting with various organizations across Erie, building your online network with guest speakers, helping clear up our highway and community, and even bowling for enjoyment, we have a wide array of events to cater to everyone's interests. We encourage being active, voicing our opinion to better the chapter, and making the most of your time at college!

Entrepreneurship Club

The Entrepreneurship Club will help you learn how to take the necessary steps toward beginning and developing your own successful business. In addition, this club allows students to connect with each other and actual entrepreneurs.

FBLA Collegiate/Phi Beta Lambda

Our FBLA Collegiate chapter, established in 2022, provides a platform to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. The Penn State Behrend FBLA Collegiate chapter actively participates in the community, visits local businesses to learn more about business and management, and hosts social events.

Financial Management Association (FMA)

The Financial Management Association is the premier club on campus for students interested in financial management and analysis. The club holds meetings once a month, bringing in speakers from the field to share their experiences and journeys through finance. The club also organizes various workshops and finance speaker series events with the Financial Planning Association. Club members even have opportunities once a semester to take trips to different financial firms, seeing for themselves the operations that go on daily.

Financial Planning Association (FPA)

The Financial Planning Association is driven to help students understand and excel in financial advising careers. Members of the FPA will listen to and network with industry professionals in financial advising and wealth management. The FPA generally meets monthly for a guest speaker presentation and occasionally for a field trip to Pittsburgh or a social event in Erie. Since we are associated with the Financial Planning Association of Pittsburgh, our members have access to a vast network of professionals. If you are interested in the financial planning career path or obtaining your CFP through Behrend's program, the FPA is the perfect place for you!

International Business (IB) Club

The International Business (IB) Club will enhance your understanding of international business and help you develop a foundation for a global professional career through networking and mentoring opportunities, traveling abroad, and guest speakers.

Management Information Systems (MIS) Club

The MIS Club encourages interest in the field of information processing by creating opportunities for students to broaden their knowledge. This includes social media, educational enhancement, IT platforms and capabilities, real-world application, and networking with current MIS professionals in the Erie area. In addition, the club invites guest speakers to discuss their information systems career paths, and the club visits businesses to observe IT-related projects.

National Organization for Business and Engineering (NOBE)

The National Organization for Business and Engineering (NOBE) provides time for business and engineering majors to communicate, work together, and learn from each other. We have goals to provide networking opportunities, résumé reviews, and other things that will benefit students after they graduate. We have general meetings that discuss what we have going on for the upcoming weeks, along with networking opportunities with outside companies. This club is recommended for IBE, PSCM, IE, ME, etc. Any engineering and business major is welcome, along with anyone who wants to learn more about business or engineering.

Project and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) Club

The Project and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) Club is a professional business club designed to prepare, develop, and teach future project and supply chain professionals the opportunities within the major and provide experiential networking and professional development opportunities for club members. PSCM is a growing and exciting major with many opportunities and career growth potential. The club is excited to share those opportunities with all interested students. To learn more about the club, come to one of our monthly meetings on the first Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in 104 Burke.

Society of Undergraduate Economists (SUE)

The Society of Undergraduate Economists' mission is to bring together creative and critical thinkers, those concerned with the material welfare of society, and those interested in past, present, and future social and financial issues. We would like to foster these traits by encouraging students to attend economic debates between faculty members with different academic backgrounds; guest speakers who communicate real-world, professional experience in economics and business; fun social activities with economics professors; and formal academic events.
