Managers from IBM, Rolls-Royce, Dept. of Defense featured in Zoom talks

Penn State Behrend's Black School of Business will host a Project and Supply Chain Management Day on Nov. 4.

Project managers from Rolls-Royce, IBM and the Department of Defense will participate in a series of Zoom talks and panel discussions during the Nov. 4 Project and Supply Chain Management Day at Penn State Behrend. The program, which begins at 10 a.m., will include five panel discussions, which will explore project management, supply chain management and other career options. Panelists will include Lisa Bianchini, a program director for the LiftSystem at Rolls-Royce Corporation; Gust Pagonis, senior manager of procurement development at Walgreens; and Kevin O’Connell, a cloud application consultant at Oracle; among others.

Among the Erie-area companies represented at the program will be Erie Insurance, Logistics Plus, UPMC and Wabtec.

The day’s agenda also will include a panel discussion with alumni and a workshop focusing on résumé and interviewing tips.

The Project and Supply Chain Management degree at Penn State Behrend prepares students to manage projects, understand the components of organizational supply chains and apply business analytics methods to the organization and integration of supply chain practices.
